Welcome to Aklan Mission Hospital, Inc.

Where Your Health is Our Priority!

Aklan Mission Hospital, Inc. is formerly Aklan Cooperative Mission Hospital, established in 1996. Since its creation, the hospital was a byword not only in Kalibo, but also in the whole province of Aklan.

Aklan Mission Hospital is licensed by the Department of Health as a Level-l, 50-bed hospital. It has twenty-two private rooms. For the past 28 years, this hospital has contributed significantly in providing healthcare services to the local community.

Despite its small size and limited resources, the hospital has consistently served the healthcare needs of the people from all economic classes. Its services include basic medical care, emergency services, and maternal and child health services. Aklan Cooperative Mission Hospital was the popular choice of patients owing to its friendly and amiable medical professionals, most of whom are locals. More importantly, the hospital’s billing practice made it the most affordable healthcare provider in the Province.

Operating a small hospital in a rural area presents unique challenges, such as limited access to specialized medical equipment, staffing shortages, and financial constraints. For this reason, Aklan Cooperative Mission Hospital made a strategic move to transform itself into a corporate entity named “Aklan Mission Hospital, Inc.” (AMHI) or simply “Mission Hospital”. With the move, the hospital lays the foundation for a stronger, more sustainable future, better equipped to serve the healthcare needs of the Aklanons. The change in name projects a corporate image, positioning it as a more modern and sophisticated healthcare provider, ready to face the challenges of the healthcare industry.

In keeping with the government’s healthcare program, Mission Hospital will devote part of its resources on preventive care, health education programs, and outreach initiatives to address the specific health challenges faced by the Aklanons. We will promote early detection and screening, and institutionalize patient teachings. We believe, as do a majority of experts, that the more educated the patients, the more likely they are to take their medication and help manage their own care. Today’s nurses assume most of the responsibility for educating patients and helping them to become responsible for their own health status. For patients to take a proactive role in their own care, they need to comprehend their condition and work to prevent or minimize complications from any chronic illnesses.

With your support and patronage, Aklan Mission Hospital, Inc. hopes to make healthcare accessible and affordable for everyone, fostering a culture of wellness and disease-prevention in our community.

Your health truly is our priority, and we are here to support you every step of the way.
